How to use this site, the report comments and Teacher Report Writer Software.
This site has been arranged so that each subject is represented on the left hand side of the site - as you scroll down the page, you will see each subject arranged in alphabetical order from Art to Spanish.
Click on subject to open this page. Then you will see all the QCA units for that subject arranged in a logical order.
For each unit you have completed, right click and save the link somewhere where you can easily find it again. Continue to do this until you have saved all the units you have covered with your class in that term.
Then download and open the Teacher Report Writer (a link is available to it on every page or click here). Then go to file - open in the Report Writer and open the comment bank you have previously saved in this program.
To edit the comments just click into the top text box and make your changes. If you want to add extra pages such as your personal comments or a target box, you will need to go to tools and add a page.
When you get your new page made, right click the tab on the page to give it a new name (of less than 14 characters long) and then save.
When you have edited the comments and made sure there are no mistakes in any of the pages, click the ‘Make report’ button for a second text box to appear. Then simply type in the name and sex of the child and choose each of the appropriate comments from each page I have created in my comment files. At the end of the comment bank, right click your newly made set of comments and choose select all, and then cut - and paste into a Word document for safety. Repeat this process for every child in your class.
